STEM Rocketry (Grades 6/7)
with Rick Preston
$50
This STEM rocketry class introduces students to the science and engineering behind rockets through hands-on design and experimentation. Students will explore concepts such as forces, motion, aerodynamics, and energy while building and launching their own model rockets. Using the engineering design process, they will test, evaluate, and improve their designs. The course integrates science, technology, engineering, art, and math by encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. Students will also learn about real-world applications in space exploration and aerospace careers. By the end of the class, students will understand how rockets work and gain practical experience in designing and launching successful models.
